Wonderful KL Weekend Trip

The weekend was great. Time was never effectively well spent especially for me on this particular KL trip. Had a great time eating and shopping! I wished i hadn't forget to had bring along my digicam. Also wished there was a little bit more time! :)

I headed towards Coppothorne Orchid Hotel right after salsa in a cab. When i reached i went to one of the hotel restaurant for free refreshments provided by the NICE Bus Services. It was a pleasant start to the journey. I then boarded the double decker bus and was greeted by a lady checking our bus tickets at the door of the bus. Chose a window seat. It was a breeze at Tuas checkpoint.

Right after we crossed the Malaysian checkpoint, the passengers were all pleasantly surprised when we got a sate sandwich and a drink on board of the bus at a stopover.

The bus journey was nice albeit being alone. I had my I Pod to keep me company, exciting Da Vinci Code, the aircon and of course the scenery. At times the music from my Shuffle and the view magnificently seemed like they deserve a showing in MTV. Especially the part where the chorus to Siti Nurhaliza's and M Nasir's Bagaikan Sakti and the sun across the horizon: superbly magical that i almost teared.

The journey took 5 hours- shorter than i expected- hence i was an hour early. Thus i decided to make my way to meet them instead of them going to the old railway station. They were at Times Square watching Batman! ( i only got to know this later due to bad reception of phone)

Window shopped a bit when i reached there and was already excited but yet to purchase anything yet. Later that eveing we went to this Banana Leaf place thats SO spicy at Bangsar- recommended by dear Suyi of course! I love the food and the dining experience! its great!! :P

Then we celebrated her birthday with an extremely cute raspberry cheesecake. And presented her her perfume at the hotel pool.

Miss myra then left with Suyi to her place as she refuses to be alone with two other guys as its not nice i guess. Me and Will went to a club covered in glass thats very crowded but cool. Although there is no cover charge, according to william its expensive. ( i dun thk so actually at 17rm per glass of sth.. though i dun drink.. hehe)Anyway, i barely danced! Me and will are rather poles aparts when it comes to clubbing.

The day after we went shopping!! at Mid Valley. WIshed there was more time. so many kool stuff to buy! i bought quite a few stuffs tho there are still more i want to get!!

Had lunch at Madam wong's. Very nice!!

I so look forward for future KL trip. Shopping is great!! next time i shall club even more! :o)

KL ANYONE??!

Cheers

How YOU Can Recover From Dissapointment

I would never imagine that i could still be so careless. Well the most elating thing despite what happen is how i managed to recover from dissapointment and a tint of anger.

Let me tell u the similarity between the 2 occasions in which i left my valuables in a public transport. Of course at least now its only 20 times cheaper than my flute.

Okie on both occasions i was kinda in a rush. Few months ago i awaken in the bus and immediately had to alight leaving my Sankyo flute behind. This time i was rushing to be early for my first Salsa intermediate class.

Secondly, both of the items were in black casing. Damn it.

Well, i am more dissapointed than angry. Honestly, i always believe there's no point in being upset and hating yourself. Things happen. I am still careless. If there seem to be no antidote for that so be it.

I am rather dissapointed at myself for doing it AGAIN! despite losing the 4.5k flute. I am also disappointed at the person who found it at the back seat of the cab. I know the invention of "finders' keepers" date way back. Still!! Why can;t people feel for others. THe agony of losing a personal item. The numbers that i have to painstakingly re enter. The acquaintances that i just met up again. The pictures, my memories. My friends, my loved ones and my stray cats!!! Argghh.. (okie its weird but writing this kind of realize that im actually angry: just that im good at supressing 'em evil)
If i was Mr Universe, i would want not only WOrld Peace but also WOrld Emphaty and Apathy. God help us.

OKIE! now the recovery part. THe part where i valiantly be my own Knight in Shinning Armor. More like Knight of my ATM card! Hehe. :p

Let me share what i bought that made me overjoyed and become the antidote to my despair from the inevitable loss:

I got an amzingly awakening Clinque Happy For Men deodarant bottled spray!! $27.00
I got a refreshing lime green striped G2000 long sleved shirt, $49.90
(i have been eyeing this 2 for two long and past experience tells me to get it if u love it before it dissapears :)
I got a pleasant white/green Renoma boxers, $9.90
I got a Renoma undie that i think i can probably do a strip tease with.. $12.90
I got a V neck tee from Byford that will look so fashionable on me, S12.90
3 Socks from Hush Puppies $8.00
I got a Cool floral blue party shirt from John Little. $13.00
And a nice orange Tank Top from bossini with an eagle motif $16.00

Anyway i wasn't all that selfish k, i bought my Dad Byford tees for Father's Day! And i'm going to post Lorraine her mystery parcel for her birthday! hehe. :p

I can't wait to wear my new stuffs! Yay!!

And of course i so need a new phone and sim card: which leads me to the most ironic thing abt me ever!- I still owe the school 2 mths of flute instalments and im heading to KL this weekend for Suyi's B'dae. There's also Lorraine's dinner this wed.

In short i am BROKE. I'm thinking maybe i should just NOT get a phone or at least get disposable ones?? this must be the fourth time i misplaced my phone. Ok maybe 3?

Anyway would like this opportunity to apologize to my secret admirer for not helping with the bills. Prob this is karma eh? wish u all the best. everything happen for a reason.

So hence this is how YOU can recover from disappointment. Cash is all but the only setback. Did i mention that there's another way to recovery? with less cash? That's for another day!

Love,
Faz
(I thank god for the optimism that i am blessed with)

Salsa Dreams

Yesterday before rehearsals, Lionel encouraged both me and Julian to join the intermediate salsa as both of us are the only two guys who only did either only begineer or casino (i.e one class).

Of course I got it coming- especially with my bad memory and worse footwork.

My only setback is if i were to sign up later for intermediate today at 4-5pm, my sundays will be taken up for the next eight weeks. It also effectively means that i will do Salsa 4 times a week! (Tues, Thurs, Sat and Sun) Which will translate into only havin wed free for myself: floorball on monday, band on fridays. (there's an Advertising portfolio course that i'll be joining and its on Wed!) Of course there's a concern that i will have to fork up like $88+$50 for the intermediate class.. This is rather disturbing as i have bills to pay too! Darn.

I do need this extra class i guess. Especially to improve my footwork.

I can't believe i am investing so much on Salsa. All i hope that the results will show and i will be satisfied with myself especially during the convocation performance!

Intrinsically, i want to be great at something and i should give this a shot.

Love,
Fuzz

Clumsy me.

my toe bled and skin was torn quite badly till i felt faint. i thought of just fainting if i wasn't with my little cousin.

i was strolling (and shuffling my feet) happily with my little cute cousin Nash back from the a haircut, a trip to buy carrot cake, ice cream and stopover at POSB singing and humming to Siti Nurhaliza's "Not Ordinary Love". My verse, abruptly halted by the shock i had. At first it felt just like a normal bang- those that i usually get from carelessly knocking into walss, table edges, staircases, etc. Then, to my horror. I looked down to see a bloodied toe with quite a fair bit of skin peeled or should i say torn from the impact. The sight of it make me feel faint: my heart and body almost instantaneously weaken. It was a weird feeling: disgusted, pained (mostly psychologically) and almost nauseating. i told Nash not to look. And i tried not to too but i kept imagining it so might as well. limped home. do the usual moaning and groaning not to supress the almost non existent pain but rather to 'calm' my self and soothe the disgusted feeling.

It took me almost 10 minutes before i got the courage to rinse it off. And surprise! It didnt hurt a bit even with the jet spray.. Lol! I refused to bandage it properly nor apply ointment. i hate the eeks sensation- the one you get from dettol on wounds. YUCKS! (reminded me of the reasons why i am not into soccer, rugby or the likes..)

ANyway it wasn't that bad after all really. In the end i wrap it off with tissue and kitchen paper and used a plaster to keep them in place.

Its fun, screaming haha. But of course i know its really not painful just scary.

Ok, gotta get back to work on the monthly updates for FACT.

Cheers.
(p.s if u need the gory pic to experience how i felt, do drop me a line! Hehe!)

Genting was Great!

Genting trip was great albeit tiring. I slept the moment i reached home earlier at 6pm today and woke up at 11.

Loved the thrilling rides there. SOme of the most exciting and fun rides were the 'superman' one, the Haunted adventure, Corkscrew and of course the SOlero!! Woohoo!! Yeah man! :p

When we reached on Monday morning at 4 am, i didnt expect Genting to be THAT cold! I was shivering at times and especially because i can't really stand cold so easily. And it was misty- very misty indeed till they looked like frozen air in some camera shots.

SO after we chilled out at Starbucks and celebrated Baeyah's b dae, we hanged around, took the cable car and then checked in earlier than expected at 11 am.

Solero was the most nerve wrecking because it was so high up and the drop was almost suicidal! hehe. THe haunted house was really fun, get to scream and really get shocked by the ghosts!

At night i went clubbing alone at Safari. It was a gr8 experience and i thouroughly anjoyed myself despite being alone. THey were playing R&B at midnight than they progressed to House and the last hour they played R&B again. i tought the cover charge was so affordable at 20rm! what a steal rite??? ( i had quite a memorable clubbing experience dacing with strangers: Jessica, etc.)

We then headed home with the 10am bus on Sunday. THe only thing that i was a bit dissatisfied with is the fact that we seemed to stop by at rather rest points where theres not much to offer muslims-esp in terms of food. Which i find very ironic of course! :p

Buy all in all the trip was a blast! And i find out that not only am i able to push myself to take those scary rides, which i think i normlayy wouldn't, but i can Club alone!!! Yay!

I hear club Safari calling me again to heaten up their dance floor!

Cheers,
Fuzz

"..will update tmrw.."- yeah right

"..Will update my blog tommorrow." That's what i said several days back! I guess old habits die hard yeah?

Busy have i been in throughout the week. In addition to my internship stint at FACT my other commitments and activities revolve around Salsa rehearsals thrice a week, Floorball trainings on mondays. My only free weekday night on Wednesday was spent celebrating Deen's birthday.

Deen's birthday was fun. We went to three places for dinner! First we went to Sakura at City Hall which was tabbed by Miranti- as a treat uopn her graduation (Deen's Abby was dining there too!)
Then we had Haagen Dazs. (fyi i 'must' tell everyone that the word does NOT mean anything. It is purely some creative fictional conjuration at its best!) So we had the Fondue for 2 (for 7 of us well 6 excluding Kumar cause he's a bit sick) which was Great. There's actually 24 little balls of ice cream (mocha, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla). I thought it was worth it. We also had 7th Heaven which was their version of 'Earthquake'. Although it was more prettier than earthquake, guess in heaven gluttony is a vice indeed as the scoops are a little too cute in my opinion. (i.e i wanted more!-which also mean that it was nice too! Esp the Mango Sorbet ~YUM!~ which is rather the cheaper version of Cappolipo push ice cream available from Walls!) Oh yeah, when the EArthquake came we sang a birthday song and deen attempted to blow off the smoke from the dry ice! :p

We then had Mrs Field's brownie cake whcih was just next door! (oh yeah i forgot to earlier say that we were at Esplanade and Amit was performing percussion at the concourse. ~he danced salsa too!~) Brownie was extremely rich as ever and a small bite will fill u up. Its one of those yummies that you savor at relatively snail speed. Of course we sang the birthday song again! and i must say thanks to me the song was well sung, as a grp of course! It was one of the most melodic Happy Birthday songs ever i reckon!

Of course we had lots of photo taking, Darwis demonstrating his "moon walk" like step. And i have to be careless as usual: forgetting to keep my digicam. Of course my anxiety was shortlived as i was more certain than hopeful that one of them (ahem, deen) kept it. Which he later confessed! Apparently i left it on top of the cake box at Fields. That's for wednesday.

As for yesterday, FACT had their first movie screenings for their customers: it was at GV Plaza and we chosed Mr and Mrs Smith! It was nice with rather biatchy lines Fun to watch their characters diss yet luv each other. After the movie i went straight to Salsa.

At Salsa, i felt more confident-finally. The thursday sequence is slowetr and a lil simpler compared to the one we are rehearsing for Convocation. Though i am a lil concerned as i will be missing his saturday's training and they are learning Casiono! Boy am i going to have trouble remembering the Spanish commands! Furthermore Lionel and gang probably going to teach us some stunt-loaded Casion steps! Exciting or what!? Well, i'd sure need tuition! :p Hmmm.. Ask why i'll miss this saturday!!!

I am going Genting!!! FINALLY. i never been here before. Am very enthusiastic to experience the weather in Genting! ALso the theme parks! I just pray that i don't get too much of a motion sickness and start to feel like puking during the rides casue that may spoil my day. Izan, Jiyah, Missy & partner's and me would be travelling light as we are only gonna stay a night at the Genting hotel. Sounds fun! And i am leaving tonight!!! 1030pm bus at City Square.

Hence i would be missing band thrice in a row- i think. i miss playing the flute. and i miss the feeling i got when Yuhua Concert Band performs. Perhaps one day Symphonia would be as exciting... time will tell.

Oh yeah i would miss that practice for the NDP thank u party too...

God Bless,
