the registered mail

the dreaded letter
to be open not today but tommmorow perhaps

clouds of repentance slowly thickening
in my mind, my heart

now just thoughts of happier things

myriad of feelings

tired, satisfied, proud, responsible, excited, helpful, worn, lousy, jaded, relieved, curious, devastated, pissed, confused, tired... dissapointed

all these feelings in one day.

if humans were a simpler creature, their brains would probably burst with such drastic changes to their mind from the disorientation of the bombardments of feelings.

today i thank god i am not such a creature.

the many events that unfold today sadly have to end with one that's very dissapointing.

i think im too tired to continue blogging.. (dated 6th May 1:52am)

first week at GOSH!

my first week at Gosh! Advertising:

just some backgrounder; i first heard about the agency during my last internship with FACT. Gosh was appointed FACT's ad agency and i was the liaison when this happened hence i knew the CEO, 3 of the accounts person, the office manager and the media planner for the agency. They were appointed because FACT CEO was impressed with their work on Jet Airways (he's from India hence he was doubly impressed) and also because Gosh's office is right next door-literally! i have longed since to intern in GOsh. Although there wasn't an opening for a copywriting intern, a stint in client service is a great opportunity too!

Day 1: the very motherly office manager, Sharon, showed me my work space. my table space is empty save for the decent looking computer. then before i knew it we had a WIP meetting to update everyone on the progress of the accounts. I could see everyone for the first time- except for Shaun D'Cruz who is supposed to be seated next to me. It was quite nice to know that there was another new comer to the company- Kitty who is in FA studio (Finised Artwork). I started off by reading some of the stuff in the server. At the end of the day, there was a brainstorming session for NETs Cashcard pitch and i was one of the 5 in the conference room to be involved. was cool! (though i was late for the RUmmage auditions in sch!)

Day 2: saw Shaun D' Cruz for the first time. He was from traffic for three months and doing client servicing now too. learnt wad a deck is called. basically means a ppt presentation to the client. I read more abt Amex and did more research on Cashcard. Was told to help out draft the ppt slides for the initiatives we brainstomred the day before. (slightly alarmed cause i want told of it before hand thus i didm't really take not all the points) but i'm pleased that i'm given an opp to participate in it. I stayed back till abt 8ish doing the slides before i printed and print to Janice to have a look.

Day 3: did the first sub req.for Amex. Kelvin went through my slides and i did the changes. stayed back late to finish up the powerpoint and send it to Janice since Kelvin's away on a leave. there was time to flip through the 2005 One Show Book! (one fo the compilations of the world's best in advertising :)

Day 4: Lina my supervisor went out for a client meeting at the end of the day so there wasnt much for me to do on Amex. I Did more readings for Amex and Cashcard. i think i left the office earliest today at 630 ish.

Day 5: did the second sub req for Amex catalogue. Did more work on the Cashcard deck thus i stayed in office till abt 7 ish. the office was empty save for Ted and 2 more in FA.THe creatives seems to like their fridays so they were out rather promptly. I said bye to Ted and thank him again for the internship opportunity :) He told me that he might want to get me involved next week. (i cross my fingers and hope secretly i dun have to present to any clients cause its too soon! :p)

Looking forward for next week!
