Social (salsa) Coward
haha. what a great post title.
I've finally decided to social more often.
Though im still a coward, okay let me use the word shy.
I think i only danced about 5-6 dance from 9pm to 1135pm at Union just now! I think its good. At least i didnt, i repeat DID NOT dance with anyone i wa sfamiliar with! Which i think is the point of Salsa SOcial- to improve salsa social that is!
I had ....
First dance with Joyce* (we both thought we've seen each other before but not sure, read below for post Social encounter!)
3 dance with super beginners- of 2 which in super tight places
One rather experienced beginner - she's ever smiling, how sweet!
One HOT babe called Jane- her styling/shines is WOW. It made me dance great too- definitely the best dance of the nite!!
The Caucasian/Sg babe from NTU (i think) - she's hot! but my last dance/ with her wasnt as hot as i wished it to be ... :( - my fault lol... i think..
anyway...
*
Its so hilarious really
long story short. Joyce mentioned addie and we prb met at his bdae party at HRC, i was like er... who's addie??
I was introduced to her friend. i think her name started with J too.. (im so confused)
I asked Joyce for a dance, asking her name again. !!!
In mrt i met Joyce and a friend. I didnt realize the friend was the one whom i was introduced to who was saboed for birthday! :p
Then we talked. Joyce showed who is addie (from her phone). then i was YES i know him.
i mentioned about cherating and his gf's loss of wallet in the chalet.
THEN...
At this point they giggled...
Apparently one of them is THE GF!!
lol!!
Guess who? Its Joyce!! WTH! so embarssing.. haha actually not .. its more Hilarious i say! :D
kewl
at least now i noe of someone who stays near me- she's at CHinese Garden! yay!!
BTW, i learnt some stuff about leading today:
1) i sometimes confuse my follow if my hand is on my chest styled towards the lady.. they thought i want them to hold it..
2) as usual i can be quick indecisive. Like i want to turn but i didnt but the follow read the cue to turn and then i didnt turn her and then i decide to turn her and then its too late- but hey we broke it laughter. :D
3) dancign with very beginner people is v fun and challenging! (if i can lead a beginner and look decent/look like we're having fun, i MUST convince myself that i CAN LEAD THE BETTER LADIES in the dancefloor too!!!!
For greater my Salsa Lead, Cheers!

kitten on the roof
was walking home in the evening earlier today and i saw 2 cats (one orange and one white/black) rested beside each other along the Bugis Alley. I meowed to them. They looke quite anxious but stayed for a while to 'check' me out. At the same time i heard a meow. Not from them. But from behind.
I looked behind and up. It was the same cat who i saw a coule of weeks back.. On the roof!!!! I think it's a kitten. It looks quite quite peering up from the roof like that. But i wonder whether it is stuck there.. I doubt so since its be 2 weeks. Plus it looks like he could get down as its not so low down to the other ledge/landing. CUTE! It's probably the kitten's favourite hangout- wad a view from the top eh? :p
On another note, rather morbid note, my friend Melvin hates cats after a very tragic incident. Apparently the mother of a few kittens gave birth on his roof. After a while he smelled the stench of carcass- from above! SO poor thing, he said his room especially stink quite bad (cause they were directly on top)and he cant sleep.. Eventually he had to call professionals to remove the carcass.. I refused to agree to this theory that mother kittens dun care about thier litter! I think that perhaps the mom got killed while getting food or sth.. Poor kittys.. RIP..
Oh yeah.. last story about cats though not on the roof this time:
I was walking to work last friday wait it was yesterday when i saw a box by the main road with the cute collared spotted cat inside. It looked so rested and i was afraid someone actually put it there cause it got ran over by traffic.. I felt sad for him/her.. But on the way back home i was so relieved that its ALIVE!!! yeah it was lazing around in front of the colorful shophouses. :p Thank god. I think i get quite depressed when i see cats especially dead by the road decomposing...
meow!

hilarious day at work
i dunno why but maybe i feel more comfortable or happy at work because i'm actually doing some stuff..
anyway it was pretty hilarious at work earlier today. I kept laughing/giggling because of sth funny at work. It wasn't that funny come to think of it but haha i guess im in a good chirpy mood. I swore isound like im choking... haha.. hadn't had a GOOD laugh, and at work!, for a long time so it felt great... :D
1. the case of the wrong live message in the office:
i was doing my stuff and was thinking about the sheer amount of responsibility that a CS (client service) like me would have eventually- i was somparing to that in an ad agency..so i messaged my colleague Fiza;
Fadzli: CS got so many things to do
Fadzli: I mean CS in RESEARCH AGENCY got so many things to do
(at this point another chat window was blinking and to my horror it was Fiza's!!! Another Fiza?...)
No way it was Jane my mentor! OMG!! haha.. she wasnt at her desk at the moment and i couldnt recall that message. How embarassing!!!!! So i tried to salvage the embarassment or any misunderstanding (that i was possibly complaining..which i really wasnt!)
Fadzli: Sorry Jane, I was telling Fiza that a CS got a lot of responsibility.. a lot of things to do. Apologies! :p
I was so embarrased!!!!!!! LOL. at this point Jane walks back to her computer.
Thank god she understood. :p Wad a Joke, such close shave. i could have yanked on about sth else... and that would be scary...
2. THe case of the unknown laughing gas:
This HAS to be the highlight of the day. I was just doing work and FIza was over at my computer to help me with my questions. I opened one of the Excel document and as usual it was used by another colleague so it says "... is used by XXXXXYY..
WHat i sontaneously did was, Hey who's XXXXXYY? Albeit loudly! (Cause it was quite late and not many colleagues around our desk..) Then FIza was like "THats (name of another colleague) lah!
I dunno why but i blurted out laughing!!! Probably prompted by her giggle? Then i found myself spiraling into a laughter frenzy. I tried hard not to be so loud but it almost felt that i inhaled some laughing gas... haha !!! I almost embarassed myself again if i havent tried to supress my crazy laughter...
And i laughed.. and i laughed.. :p
so funny..
MEOW!
Meow!

urban hunter/s
urban hunters? i'll talk about them later..
it's been a while since i blogged. Quite a fair bit of topics i wanted to express myself about but i've been procrastinating- because of TV and the almost futile attempts at sleeping by midnight (7-8hrs of sleep for a healthier mind!).
which brings me to work. Work is good. There's 6 mini photos pasted on my office table which means its week 6 at work! Things are picking up... However I still need more time to adjust my biological clock so i wun feel like on the verge of salmming my head onto my keyboard during some hrs of the day! Perhaps its a wee bit too comfortable for me- especially not having much responsibilities/ 'real' things to do yet. (I might as well enjoy the nice pay while it lasts eh? haha)
Anyway, i have to blog today beacause finally got assigned work/responsibility! YAY! For a start i'll be working on the Nestle ice cream and HP printers account of course still under supervision of the Senior Research person in my team! I'm not liaising directly with the clients yet though I'll have to work with the internal project mgrs. Well, actually i'm glad not to have to speak to clients yet.. i prob won't be sure half the time what im supposed to do/say!:p I so look forward to learn new stuff at work!
Oh during lunch with colleagues i met glynnis- i like her new bob haircut!!! so kewl! SHe's doing PR at Shaw towers.. didnt catch the name of the agency though. prob arrange lunch with her. (oh i'm excited to meet my comms Prof- Mark Chong- for dinner.. wonder how will it be like? i hope i can be myself! :p)
back to the topic of my blog. (another reason why i must blog eventhough its past my bedtime!- read: 1:03am!!!) When i was on my way home after gym i saw quite a strange scene.
More than half a dozen men looked like they were neighborhood CSI. They were each equipped with long thick sticks and with a lights on top of their heads. SOme even wore sth like masks. So in the dark they walked towards the big rubbish chute at the ground floor of my flat. they opened it and started hitting the rubbish bin with their sticks. FOr a moment i thought it was an ambush by some private investigators of sorts.. (i imagined possibly there could be someone trying to escape via the chute!)
Neways, i stood for a while to watch this rather interesting scene. Soon after (in less than minute) i realized what they were up to- RATS! Yes, they were on a mission to exterminate them rodents! What i saw initally disgusted me. I swore i heard sth squeak.. One of the 'hunters' stepped the rat!!!! (Oh dear! yucks! was my first 2 thoughts.. i kinda felt sorry for the rats.. who can be quite cute actually..-i've encountered some of them. plus Grey is quite a nice color! LOL)
So i left and felt yucky on the way up the staircase towards home. I could hear the thuming of other chutes when i got to my 3rd storey apt. SO i decided to watch. Directly below my window i could see in greater detail the action. I watch the 'hunter's antics. And i started to smile.. i laughed when i saw one of them actually using a hockey stick!!!!! Cool!! (somehow i thought us humans are like gangsters... beating up rats .. with hockey sticks!)
It's probably mean but personally i thought it was kinda cute when one of the guys decided to arrange the 5, 6 carcass on top of the bin when another said that they should take picture. (Im sure it was for official and not saidistic purposes..)
Somehow the whole situation at that point seemd comical to me and i soon forgot i felt sorry for the rat (which was purposefully stepped to death)
well that's it for urban hunter/s...
wait! talking abt hunters.. in less than 2 more mths at MWB and Fiza would be receiving her bounty in CASH!!! in US!! It does feel good for oneself to be 'put up for reward!' LOL.
squeak!
