Eliminated from Advertising Idol
Last week i had an interview for a dream internship at an MNC advertising agency. It was supposed to be a stepping stone for me to break into the creative side of Advertising. ALas, the results are out. Only one out of ten were chosen:

Thanks for coming to the interview and dropping a thank you note as well. Really appreciated it.
I can see that you are truly excited and passionate about the advertising industry and this is really great! However, I regret to have to inform you that we have decided to choose another person from SMU, not because you lack anything, but as there are so many to choose from, we had to take a decision.
Here's wishing you all the best with other interviews.
Perhaps there will be other opportunities in future.

I guess great things doesn't come easily eh? :o) With that, i would welcome any critique that you have regarding my interview and appreciate any further comments or suggestions on how i could better my chance in the advertising industry.

to be honest, there's nothing wrong with you. You did very impressively during the interview, enthusiastic and passionate about the industry. We however felt that due the nature of the job would not be the best fit, even though you were willing to learn.
I would suggest that should you go for interviews for a job in the creative area, the best bet would be to continue with that same enthusiasm and give your best, along with a good portfolio built up.

MY COMMENT: Well, i think its really sweet of her. But Damn i really thought i could get it: she even mentioned that i was the first to be interviewed cause she liked my resume!! Ok la. at least the defeat is kinda bittersweet. Sob Sob?? NO way!!! I'm gonna take a module during summer in end July instead. In the meantime, i AM GOING TO COLD CALL AND SEND RESUME TO ALL (k maybe not all) ADVERTISING COMPANIES. Haha!!
